Esther Addeley - The Guardian

Mr Bush recommended that i contacted a Guardian journalist who wrote an article on the deaths of the graffiti writers 'Ozone' and 'Wants.'

The article was really helpful to read because it contains some really valuable information that we can point out in the documentary such as the risks graffiti carries with and, highlighting the most important question of all - if people can die for their country from the age of 16, why is it considered so wrong for people to graffiti knowing that their one "piece" may be the last? Graffiti is frowned upon because its seen as vandalism, but no -one seems to see it as soldiers risking their lives. Where has that element of respect gone?

I emailed the journalist and am now waiting for his reply. The article can be seen at http://www.guardian.co.uk/crime/article/0,,1994683,00.html

i like the whole respect for the "soldiers" idea as it gives a different perspective to the idea of graffiti. but is there any sort of story to your documentary or are you just investigating the world of graffiti?
