Running Order

After the opening scene ( look at storyboard) the documentary will go straight in to a few short interviews with graff artists who will talk bout:

* their backgrounds
* what got them into the graff scene
* why they are still active in da scene
* what it ment to them then, and what it means now

In between these clips there will be extracts of ordinary people (eg. shopkeepers who have graffiti on their shutters) who pose the opposite view to the artists. This is creating binary oppositions (Straus)

This first secition should be around 1 minute long.

The next section will look to explain graffiti terminologies, because our target audience 35-45 year olds will not understand what the graffas are talkin about unless we give them a brief explanation first. this idea is also featured in 'Kings and Toys'. On screen this will be presented visually; when an artist defines a word we will highlight the word on the screen, and also show a short video clip to explain the following words:

*Bombs/Tags
*Throwups
*Dubs
*Pieces

This will be about 1 minute long.

20 seconds of graffiti related news clips and cut outs to show how its portrayed in the media "Big Brother style motage sequence"

next...spend a minute lookin at the so called adrenalin rush or 'buzz' that graff gives people.
show this using interviews and footage of graffiti being done.

the next section will look at the beef (conflict) that is a big part of graff today. Also in this section we will hear writers views on the fame aspect of graffiti.

this will take up about a minute and a half.

Next we will inform and educate people about the dangers, risks, and consequences that are involved in graffiti. interviews from graffers and footage of graffiti being done....Also a small section dedicated 2 a few London heds who lost their lives due 2 graffiti... Concentrating on the deaths of Ozone and Wants, we'll be showing news reports of their deaths and focus upon the families views (text on BBC website - quote it)... to show the consequences of it, we'll be showing, in a slow pace, some graffiti being done and then the sound of a train approaching loudly - fade and silent. - also get footage from other docs.

this section will last around 2 and a half minutes.
